Godfrey Onyango

Bio-Latrine Center Administrator

Godfrey lives in Kibera, right across the road from the Shining Hope Community Center, with his wife and infant daughter. Due to lack of school fees, Godfrey was unable to finish primary school. Before Shining Hope—he was never formally employed. Now, Godfrey administers the bio-latrine center and water-access point adjacent to the Kibera School for Girls, and simply radiates commitment to Shining Hope projects. He dreams of being able to someday help build a playground outside the school—so that KSG students and other children living near the school will all have a safe place to play.
