Thanks to Newman’s Own Foundation, we are in the process of building five additional eco-toilets throughout Kibera.  The sites at which we are building these latrines were identified through our baseline research project as the areas with the least access to pit latrines, or toilets of any kind.

These toilets offer the community access to desperately needed sanitation services, while also elevating the value placed on women and girls throughout the community—as residents associate these toilets with The Kibera School for Girls.
